---------------------------------------photo beauty gets attention then her eye paint's running down she's got a rose in her teeth and a lampshade crown---------------------------------------Halloween is not a time to be appropriate. Indeed, the day is really more of an excuse for girls to dress as slutty as possible and not get called out on it. There are always exceptions to the rule, of course, but from what Livvy has gathered from observing costumes, most girls at her school are fairly loose with highly questionable morals. But who's to say that Livvy's any different? She's not. She likes attention just as much as the next girl, maybe even more so. However, Livvy is a bit different in the way that she really doesn't need Halloween in order to "dress up". She's always wearing some kind of crazy, overly-sexual outfit; she doesn't reserve her most obnoxious ensembles for one day. No, that would be a waste of fabric. Instead, Livvy goes around acting as if every day were Halloween, so by the time the holiday actually does come around, she's left look nearly completely normal. Most people can't tell the difference and some even ask her why she's not wearing a costume. But Livvy's not complaining. She'd rather look average on one day out of the year instead of 364. At least she's open about her sexuality, and doesn't squelch it mercilessly, only letting it be shown for a few hours at some party. The girls who did that always freaked her out a little bit: the ones that would transform into these wild sexual beasts on Halloween, and then morph back into the sweet shy girl the next day. I guess that's what Halloween is all about, though: a freeing of inhibitions.
So, about Livvy's costume. At the moment she was putting the final touches on her makeup: bright red lips, bright red blush, and huge fake eyelashes, that made her eyes look really wide and innocent. On top of her hair (which was curled in big, soft corkscrews) rested one big blue bow, that did not seem to want to lay flat on her head. Instead it kept drooping, looking rather lazy. She was wearing a rather risque dress, cut incredibly short both in hemline and neckline. It puffed out once it hit her waist, due to the petticoat skirt. And to complete the look she added knee-high white socks and four-inch high blue pumps, which she probably would not be able to wear too far into the night. Livvy was checking herself out in the full-length mirror in her room, thinking that she had quite outdone herself this time. She had made the costume herself, spending hours at the sewing machine that stood in the corner of her small room. Satisfied, she did a few dance moves in the mirror before laughing out loud at herself. Already there was the pounding of music from downstairs: popular songs on the radio that most everybody would know, or should know. That was one of the first things Livvy learned about throwing parties: forget your own taste in music and play something that people can dance to. Grabbing the big plastic red cup that stood on her desk, contents including vodka and tonic, but mostly vodka, Livvy danced from the room and made her way downstairs, where the party would take place.
Livvy always thought that house parties were the best. It was much more personal and inviting, as if she was really good friends with every one of her guests. Plus it cost much less and she could actually supply alcohol. At the moment she was passing the "drink" table, laden with many various bottles of hard liquor and wine, a bucket of ice, some different kinds of juices, and one bottle of Coke. Under the table was a bucket full of beer and ice, for guest with a less sophisticated taste. Leaning against the table, Livvy smiled as she looked over her handiwork. She had transformed the living room (which was large, taking up most of the first floor) into a very suitable party space, if not a great one. She has pushed the couches to the walls, but did so carefully, arranging them in a way that looked as if they were meant to be there. This created a big open space for dancing on the hardwood floors, the only thing that could possibly get in the way being the large stereo system. From the living room people could enter into the dining room, where the food was. On the big table Livvy had set out pigs-in-a-blanket, jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks, bowls and bowls of different kinds of chips and dips and, ofc course, loads of candy. She felt as if she had plenty of food, but if she ran out she did have a backup plan. In the backyard (accessed from the dining room, via a sliding glass door) there was a grill, and if worst came to worst she would cook up some hamburgers and hope she didn't burn the house down. The backyard itself was done up very pretty, with sparkling white Christmas tree lights adorning the fence that seperated the Fergusen's and their neighbors. Livvy had also carved a bunch of jack-o-lanterns, that hung out on both the front and back lawn. She was pretty sure no one would really spend too much time outside, seeing as it was freezing, but she wanted it to look nice anyway. It was nothing compared to the inside though. Fake spiderwebs were draped all over the living room walls, along with purple and black streamers, which hung in loops from the ceiling. The lighting was reduced only to candlelight and one disco ball, giving the room a spooky, yet sort of romantic kind of look. Livvy nodded appreciatively at the decor before turning around to the drink table and refilling her cup.
As soon as she had taken her first sip, the doorbell rang. Her first guests had arrived. She opened the door and greeted them warmly, telling them to come in and get settled. In ten minutes there was already quite a lot of people there. It was no wonder, though, Livvy had invited nearly the entire school. It was the one detail she always left out when telling her father about her parties: how many people actually came. He was okay with her throwing these bashes, he just liked the house to be cleaned up afterwards, which Livvy was cool with. Usually she woke up semi-early and cleaned up the trash before he got home, since he never stayed at the house during the party. He would leave and go see a movie, or visit his parents, staying over at a hotel or a girlfriend's house. Livvy loved her father for that, for being so... "cool." The independence really gave her a lot of freedom, and although sometimes it went to her head, it also allowed her to appreciate her father more. She wouldn't lie to him if she could help it; he even knew there would be alcohol in the house. His only real words of advice were: "Just don't piss off the cops if they drop by." It was a simple enough rule to follow. As people kept turning up, Livvy suddenly forgot something. She ran up to her room, bringing with her a long staff, curved at the end. When someone asked her what it was for, she replied: "I'm Little Bo Peep, silly. It's for my sheep." She laughed raucously afterward, not really feeling the effects of the alcohol but of the adrenaline she always experienced at the start of every party. She turned up the music.

Aurora was never one to miss parties. The majority of the time she was throwing them herself, but tonight was different. It was Halloween and she decided to go to another hostess' party. Taking in a soft breath, Aurora finished curling the last strand of her blonde hair. A large smile was on her lips as she looked at the product. Her hair was beautifully done, just as if a professional had done it. That was one of the advantages of having a grandmother that grew up in the early 1900's. Just for this occasion, she asked her 90+ grandmother to show her how to curl her hair in the way that she did while she was young. Aurora borrowed her grandmother's delicate hair curler. Now that her hair was done, all that was left was her costume.
Aurora's costume was one of her favorites. Although she had never worn it, it was probably the best she'd ever had. It was a deep red dress, with red fringe of course. Very 1920's. The hem came up to the middle of her thigh, showing off her great legs. The dress' straps were covered in beautiful stones. As she slipped on her heels, she took one last look at herself. From looking at the pictures that her grandmother had shown her, she thought she looked very much like a girl from the 20's. Her make-up was even down to a t. Her natural beauty mark had been accented with brown eye-liner and her cheeks and lips were both covered in a bright shade of pinkish-red. As she sprayed on perfume for a final touch, she grabbed her old-fashioned headband complete with a feather on it and put it on. Perfect.
Aurora smiled to herself as she locked up her apartment. It was large and spacious. The wood floors doubled this trait. She had thrown many parties here and for her birthday, which was coming up in a month, she planned to have a murder mystery party. Her parents had helped her plan this. It was going to be in full costume and it'd be masquerade so it would deepen the game. Once getting in her car, she headed of to Livvy's house. She had been to many of her parties, and she knew this one would bound to be great. Aurora usually hosted a horror movie night after Halloween parties that she went to, but tonight she decided just to stay at home once she arrived back at her apartment.
Aurora pulled into the driveway of Livvy's house and parked towards the front. Her jet black BMW would be out of the way from unsafe drivers. As she stepped out, the moonlight shone on her long legs. After locking it, she noticed that quite a few people were already here. Taking in a deep breath of the cool night air, Aurora walked in. After being greeted by Livvy and the rest of her guests, she found her way over to the wine and hard liquior and took a bottle of her favorite out.
Aurora opened it and sipped on it slowly as she made her way back over to Livvy. "Hey, the decorations look great and you're costume's really cute." she said smiling as she rested the cold bottle in her hand. As she stood and talked with Livvy for a bit, she made sure her dress wasn't riding up or anything. After looking at it, she smiled softly. Her dress fit her perfectly, the red really accented her skintone and it was the perfect choice of costume. As she looked around at the other guests, she noted on the costumes of the people around her and noticed the familiar faces. Tonight was going to be great.

»Leon» hey mr. dj you gotta put a record on, yeah we're gonna bury this town tonight we're gonna dance all night Livvy was a very lucky girl. Leon wasn’t one to miss any parties and this had been extremely difficult to fit into his schedule. The day started off waking up early, packing all his face paint and clothes tightly into a suit case, and running off in a black suit to watch yet another lawyer at work. Shadowing could be a real pain, especially when all he did was sit in the office of a professional and help him with his paper work. Nothing real intense happened today, not even a murder trial to spice up the Halloween mood. He had only been able to squeeze out of the room an hour before the party and instead of trying to drive back to his dorm, he changed in the bathroom of the court building.
That was so far the highlight of his dull day. Standing in a bathroom in front of a mirror, adjusting a dark green vest of bluish purple long sleeve shirt. He was wearing much of the apparel of the Joker Heath Ledger excellently played off. He had the purple suit jacket, purple pants, and purple tight gloves that went nicely over his hands. The make-up was the most amusing part, men trying to do their business giving him weird looks entering and after washing their hands. He just smiled, not caring about these older men’s opinions. White ghost like paint soon covered his face, crimson colored paint curling around his lips, while charcoal black by his eyes. With his pinky he carefully added darker lines on his forehead and cheeks, to add a little bit of age. He couldn’t help release a laugh as he added the final touch of spraying his hair green and gel pushing it back messily. “I look awesome,”
he commented on himself, chuckling again. Leon was big when it came to themes of any kind. Cowboys, togas, pirates, anything. He always liked being the one that just stood out against the mobs of supermen and vampires. The law student definitely achieved that as he packed his old clothes and left the courthouse, turning quite a few heads and raising some brows as he treaded down the halls. Getting to his motorcycle he couldn’t help but smirk at the thought of surprising quite a few people as he drove by. These were the type of times he wished he carried a video camera on him to remember such good memories. Putting on his helmet, which he was already aware might smudge his make-up (but would just add to the look), he drove off the parking lot and headed towards Livvy’s home. It was a rather long drive, but it was alright if he was fashionably late. Unless he was supposed to arrive somewhere important or life changing, he wasn’t very worried about being prompt. Actually he liked stepping into a house with people already filling the room. It always felt odd getting their first and just sitting on the couch or sipping a drink while waiting. Turning a corner his motorcycle rumbled, knowing exactly where Livvy lived. Leon was always at parties, and it just happened the same girl hosted a lot of them. Finding a spot he parked the bike and took off his helmet, taking out the keys and letting them swing around his fingers as he walked towards the entrance. Green eyes looked around the perimeter curiously, trying to determine who might have else arrived before him. It appeared that a good amount of the school was here, which only made his grin widen, looking almost wicked with his face paint. Helping himself inside, he felt the beat of the music begin to rock through his body and the sounds of the quiet outside immediately shattering. With interested eyes he gave the room a once over, not at all surprised how much the hostess had gone out with her party. If you wanted to leave a mark on everyone that you had the best parties, you had to do all this. Otherwise, it is just another party that you got so drunk that you could hardly remember who even invited you to it. He was sure people would be complimenting the fourth year in the week to come. Not seeing any of his immediate friends, he traveled over to the ‘drink’ table and decided to make himself something. He wasn’t a big drinker, like some of the already wasted guests, but he did socially. Grabbing a red plastic cup he filled it three fourths of the way with different type of juices and then rest with random hard liquor. Swishing his concoction together he turned around and already spotted Livvy with another girl in his year. Causally he walked over to the pair, winking at the hostess and saying, “Beautiful party so far, Livvy. I’m really impressed, thanks for inviting me.” Green eyes than went towards the other girl, swiftly remembering her name, and he easily spoke with some charm, “Wow, hot costume, Aurora. Maybe I’ll talk to you two ladies later?” With another smile on his spooky face he turned from them to mingle with others. It was part of his little system to greet everyone, throw a few compliments, maybe flirt a little, and then talk to Evans about which person he should ask to dance with him. Unfortunately as a frown creased on his lips, he didn’t see his close friend. Another party he passed? He really needed to convince the boy to get out more. It was no fun having a partner-in-crime, and then not having him somewhere where you really needed him. Easily hiding these irritated emotions, he took a small sip of his drink, not wanting to get totally drunk. He had to drive home, after all. Probably after a few more sips he would switch to Coke, only because a motorcycle wasn’t exactly a pretty thing to wipe out on. Now that would be a scary sight under the glow of the Halloween moon… [/blockquote][/blockquote]

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Why did everything have to revolve around partying with Livvy? That was Mariah's thoughts as she sat in her room, the door open, listening as people entered the house, the music already thumping throughout the walls. She wasn't one for parties so why did her sister have to not only be a party fanatic but also use their house for every single party imaginable. Livvy's thoughts seemed to circulate that everything big that happened needed to be punctuated by a party. Baby being born? Let's party. Home from vacation? Let's party. Grandmother just died? Let's party. It seemed that while Mariah could express herself through writing, Livvy expressed herself through the parties she threw, and if she wanted everyone to notice her for that ability, then she had, over and over again.
She ran a hand through her curly dusky brunette hair, she wasn't in the mood to go downstairs, but she felt like she needed to. She barely ever partied and tried her best to not ever show up during any of her sister's parties, but she once agian felt like she needed to. She doubted she would know anyone who was at the party, Livvy seemed to make friends with everyone. Mariah was agonizingly slow in making friends, and the few friends she had were the ones that only depended on her when they had no one else to hang out with. She was the go to friend, when someone needed advice they would come to her. They never came just to chit-chat or hang out. She was needed when she was needed. Being that kind of person, she rarely did well at parties. People went to parties to escape their problems, people came to Mariah to get advice on their problems.
She pulled on the blue and white checkered apron to finish off her costume. She glanced at herself in the full length mirror on the wall in her room. She looked pretty good. White dress, blue and white checkered apron, and to finish it all off, ruby slippers. Yup, she was Dorothy Gale from Wizard of Oz. She gave herself a reasuring smile in the mirror, but it didn't help her feel any better. She would probably stand in the corner most of the party, eating a few snacks and probably being mistaken for Livvy two dozen times in the first hour with an increasing number as the night got later and people got drunker. She sighed, messing with her messy hair. It looked fine but she was nervous, she didn't need to do anything but head downstairs. It wasn't like she was the center of attention, that was her sister tonight, like every night a party was.
She opened her door and locked it behind her, she could unlock it from the outside with her key, she didn't need anyone having sex in her bed like the last party they had. She had spent a few hours rewashing her sheets to make sure there were no 'love stains' anywhere on them. She pushed past a few people to descend the stairs. With the horrible music blaring everywhere, she finally made her way to the drink table. She picked up one of the red cups and took a drink. She nearly hacked up a lung, either someone had put kerosene in the cup or Mariah had found some hard liquor. She coughed slightly as someone tapped on her shoulder. She turned around, her hair flipping slightly. "Yes?" She asked the random drunk guy. He was blonde and obviously had started drinking once he had arrived. "Hey... Livvy, great party," He said in a slurred speech. "Sorry, not Livvy," She said rather quickly, handing the guy the cup she was holding. "On the house," She said, moving towards the snack table.
That morning seemed to go by very slowly for lacey, after a good breakfast and a couple of classes, she had eagerly headed back to her dorm to prepare for that night’s party. After that long day, she was in a mood to party and get wasted without a care in the world, okay so maybe there were some things to care about but they wouldn’t really matter that much tonight. When she arrived home, the first thing she did was shower; she wanted to look clean and fresh for tonight’s party. Later, after blow drying and straighten her hair as best as she could, she moisturized her skin and applied her eyeliner and mascara, she didn’t wear much makeup and most people said she didn’t need it.
Finally she was ready to slip on her costume for the Halloween party, almost everyone would be there and she couldn’t wait. She pulled up her very short denim short shorts that showed off her lean, slender legs and then pulled a cute little pale pink plaid button up shirt on. As she finished doing up the little buttons, she took a side glance in the mirror and fixed the short sleeves. Smiling, at her self she pulled on her worn brown pair of cowboy boots she’d found in her closet. Lacey personally loved Halloween, it was a time to let loose and have a bit of fun, maybe even scare a couple of little kids if you were scary enough.
She grabbed her keys and cell phone off the dresser as she left and turned out to go to her car. Shit. She whispered as she realized she’d forgotten her brown cowboy hat in her room. Getting out of her car, she ran up to dorm and grabbed it off her bed. It was about time she was ready. Lacey had been to Livvy’s parties before so she knew exactly where she was going like the back of her hand. As soon as she reached the house, she turned off her car and flipped down the mirror over her seat, applying a wipe of light pink lip gloss she always kept in her car. Watch out ladies and gentlemen, Lacey Watson’s here and she’s ready to make her grand entrance. Well, she always arrived a little later then the party started so, just to grab most people’s attention.
Slipping her keys and phone into her pocket, she placed her hat over her head and headed for the door. With a smile glued to her lips, she entered the house already seeing a room full of people, and she could already tell this was going to be a good party, no matter how many people she didn’t know, she knew she would meet them soon enough. After surveying the room for a couple of minuets, she walked over to livvy. Great Party Hun! She said over the loud music and couldn’t help but sway her hips a bit to the music. Wandering over to the drink table she mixed herself a random drink with lots of alcohol before going and leaning against a wall, surveying the room once more.
COSTUME HEREIt was about time for the Halloween Party, and where was Neil? Still getting ready. Typical Neil, losing track of time and having to change last minute. Well it certainly wasn't his fault; he was in the middle of a good book. Anyway, so there he was, rushing around his room trying to find all the components of his costume that he had mentally planned but never actually laid out. It was kind of funny how all of this was from his wardrobe; all he needed to buy were the plastic fangs. High five Neil, you money-saver, high five. Anyway, the first thing Neil found was, of course, his fangs. He figured since this was the only thing he needed to buy, he might as well buy a nice pair, rather than those crappy disposable plastic ones that dentists gave away. His pair was solid, shiny, and white, and fit over your teeth like Invisalign. Next was a fitted black t-shirt that hinted at his muscular build and a blazer that accentuated his wide shoulders. This was followed by his black comfy jeans and a black-and-red studded belt he borrowed from a friend down the hall. The plaid red tie was just to add color. Lastly, his favorite black converse and blazer. The hair on his head was a dark brown, as opposed to its natural dirty blond, and it was gelled so it was sort of spiky. After inserting his teeth, he grabbed his cellphone, wallet, and keys and was ready to go. A shiny Volvo pulled up into the driveway and parked alongside the other cars. Neil stepped out and shut it, locking it behind him before entering the open door. He looked around. Like usual, Livvy really knew how to throw a party. He never threw his own, since he wasn't on good terms with his parents; it kind of made him envy those who were. Like Livvy, obviously. He looked around to see if Juliet was there. Nope. His stomach grumbled. God, he was hungry; he hadn't eaten since lunch. Since when did that happen? He immediately headed for the snack table.
Let's get this party started Let's keep them 40's poppin Blue eyes blinked as Aja looked at her reflection in the mirror. Her eyes were slightly tired as she forced them open. She sat on the bathroom counter, applying thick, black eyeliner around her eyes. She had to make herself look dead, anyways. She sighed as she grabbed her eyeshadow, rubbing it into her eyelids. She was quick as picked up her eyeliner again. She smudged it here and there. Her face was blank as she rubbed blush into her cheeks. Mascara filled her eyelashes as she pushed herself off the counter. Her fingers found the thin comb and she gripped it tightly between her fingers. She was swift as she ran it up her hair, teasing it and ratting it to look extremely messy. She smirked as she sprayed hairspray into her roots to keep it there.
She pulled it up into a teased ponytail off to one side kind of. She grabbed the huge, fake tiara off the counter and pushed it into her hair, hoping it was good enough. She grinned slightly as she tightened the hairstyle into place. She hairsprayed the crown into her hair, wanting it to stay. She turned and stripped down to her bra and her usual Victoria's Secret underwear. Aja reached for her outfit which was a dark red tutu and a dark red leotard with black roses sewed into the front. One shoulder strap looked extremely torn up. She pulled it on and pulled on her white, torn-up tights. She was quick as she used a red liquid eyeliner to make blood marks on her arms. She turned, tucking in her tags.
Aja glanced at the clock. Only twenty minutes had passed. She was thankful as she looked around, hoping she wasn't missing anything. She flicked off the lights and went to her bed. She sat, fishing around under the bed to find her black box. She found it and pulled out a pair of shiny, clean, red pointe shoes. She was excited. She hadn't used them in almost two years. As she laced them up, she kept sending glances at the clock. She didn't want to be late to meet Mariah. She shrugged and then put her phone, wallet, keys, and makeup bag into her purse. She took one last glance around the room before she waltzed out. She took out her phone, feeling it vibrating. She opened it, looking through her texts.
She tried to respond as fast as she could to everyone. They were overflowing her with messages. She giggled as she answered each one and ran out to Aaron's car parked on the side of the curb. She hopped in, greeting the adorable boy. They were off as they drove to the Ferguson household. She wasn't really looking forward to seeing Livvy. She loved Mariah much more. It seemed like a second before the two were walking up to the door. She stood on pointe; it wasn't that hard for her. She looked at Aaron, waiting for him.
Alexis looked up at the dark sky above, before she even looked at the house. She didn't really know Livvy, but she did know Mariah and of course she was going to be at this party. She wasn't totally close to Mariah, but she liked her she was really nice. Alexis smiled as she looked down at her clothes, she wasn't dressed to slutty. It wasn't really her thing, but hey you never know. Alexis smoothed down her miniskirt and walked towards the door. Alexis was dressed as a cat, but a cat in a miniskirt. She even had her little cat eats, which she thought were quite cute. She greeted Livvy and looked around to see if she could see anyone she knew.
Alexis smiled at some drunk, dude who was nearly falling all over the place. "Well, hello to you to" said Alexis as she managed to squeeze through a crowd of people. Her eyes scanned the room and stopped at a familiar face. It was Mariah, she walked over to her and well kind of jumped at her.
"Hey!!" shouted Alexis as she grabbed her from behind. Alexis smiled at her now. "I was supposed to scare you, it is Halloween after all" said Alexis as she laughed. She looked at all the people who looked like they were having fun, and well who wouldn't be. It was a party. So everyone should be having fun.
---------------------------------------Being a dance major, Livvy was no stranger to the bump-and-grind scene that started in underground clubs and slowly made it's way to mainstream parties and high school dances. And whether or not it surprises you: Livvy was not a fan of this particular movement. It did not get her gears going as jazz or ballet or hip-hop did. To Livvy and her dancer's mind it was of a rather lude and primitive form-- nothing at all like art, which is what dance was supposed to be. When exactly did it become common-place to dance with your back to your partner, his junk all up in your space? It completely cancelled out one of the greatest things about casual dancing, which was the interaction between you and the one you chose to dance with. It made Livvy slightly angry, actually, and she would never stoop so low to take part, unless she was really drunk or high, and yet she wouldn't break anybody up either. Dance was supposed to be a form of expression, right?
Livvy scoffed at this, and sipped at her drink when she ran in to Aurora. She smiled wide and gave her a sort of half-embrace. "Thank you. Thanks very much. I worked hours on it." She said, referring, supposedly, to both the decorations and the costume. "I'm glad you're having a good time. And you do look hot, indeed." Livvy remarked when Leon left them, smiling even wider. "Vintage is always a good choice." She added, making small talk, which she was okay at. Actually, she fared better with in-depth conversations, but she rarely ever had those. But after years of throwing parties she had mastered the art of chit-chatting. Livvy stood there with Aurora, or more-like danced there with Aurora. When the music was loud and heart-pumping she couldn't help herself from moving her feet. Being a skilled dancer in most forms (as she would be the first to tell you), Livvy often had trouble with just regular dancing. When she was at a club or party she often danced as if she was on stage, and she had to train herself to do otherwise. But still, she had rhthym, there's no doubt about it, and she could move herself around with ease and, more importantly, without making a fool of herself.
Spotting Mariah in the dining room, Livvy narrowed her eyes curiously. It wasn't like her sister to just pop in to one of her parties. It intrigued her, and the drink in her hand made her bold. "'Scuse me for a sec." She told Aurora, resting a hand softly on the girl's shoulder before passing by her and making her way over to Mariah. "So, decided to "Grace" us with your presence tonight, huh?" She said, semi-sarcastically and using air-quotes around the word 'grace', but anyone could tell that Livvy was more than a little pleased. It was just in her human nature that she liked showing off her friends to Mariah, and vice versa. "Down from the mountains to visit the lowly little village. I'm humbled." She added. Livvy often used this kind of prose around Mariah, wanting to make herself sound intelligent and wordly, which she was, she just hid it most of the time. Often this way of talking gave Livvy away in front of her friends-- especially the fact that she read books, and just ones with lots of pictures. Smiling at Mariah, Livvy absent-mindedly grabbed a plain chip from a bowl and popped it into her mouth, finishing it off with another sip of her drink.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mariah jumped, nearly ramming into the snack table as she did. She didn't let out any audbile noise but her heart felt like it was goingb to burst from her chest and do a little jig on the table. She whirled around, her blue eyes wide, but she calmed down quickly when she saw who it was. It was Alexis. She smiled slightly, her heart still pounding slightly as she nodded when Alexis said she was suppoed to have scared Mariah. "Well you succeded, I though I was going to have a heart attack or something," She said, glancing Alexis over. "Nice costume, a bit more conservative then other people's," Mariah said, nodding towards Alexis's costume. Mariah's own costume was about as conservative as you could get here at the party.
Mariah was pretty surprised that Alexis seemed to have actively searched her out at this party. Of course that could just be coincidence, Alexis could have been looking for someone else, or had been looking for the snack table. And she had found it, along with Mariah. Mariah was pretty good at making anything that was a compliment towards her as something either neutral or negative. She rarely took compliments lightly and always took them with a few pounds of salt.
Mariah glanced over as someone else spoke to her, her smile vanished though when she saw that it was Livvy. She lowered her eyes slowly before glancing back up at Livvy. "Uh, I suppose I have. I kinda live here..." Mariah said, glancing back over at Alexis. If Alexis found Mariah anywhere interesting as a friend then she would probably find Mariah as a bit of wuss from the way Mariah reacted around her sister. She also didn't like how Livvy made it seem like Mariah found herself to be better then other people. She didn't, not by a long shot.
But she'd play Livvy's game, just for a little bit. "Even Gandhi had to walk among the British sometimes," She said with a simple sigh. What was Livvy doing? Why wasn't she smoozing with one group of her friends or something of the sort? Mariah leaned forward a bit, so she could whisper something to Livvy. "Why bug me at your party?" She asked Livvy. Either it was the atmosphere of the party, or the fact that Livvy was slightly intoxicated, but Mariah was taking a big chance by even remotely talking back to Livvy. It wasn't like Livvy was in charge or anything, but she was the dominant twin.

Upon reaching the snack table, he noticed a group of girls not too far away. There was Livvy, the hostess, Mariah, who he had seen and spoken to before, and Alexis, who he had also seen around. He walked up to where the three of them were. "Hey girls. Nice party, Livvy." he said, giving her a smile that showed his fangs and a nod. He reached over to the table and picked up one of the pigs in a blanket and took a bite. Thank god that his fake vampire fangs were the kind you could use while eating.
"Hey, have any of you seen Juliet or know if she's coming?" he asked them. He hadn't gotten a for-sure answer about whether she was coming or not. He supposed if anyone would know if she was coming, it was Livvy, as it was her party. However, he hadn't seen her here yet, and he wasn't sure if anyone else had either.
Unfortunately, Neil had approached while unaware of the current conflict between Livvy and Mariah. Of course they didn't always get along, but then again, since when did siblings always get along? Especially twins like they were. Although he knew both girls well enough, he seemed to have more in common with Mariah, although that was probably because she was a writing major, and he was a foreign literature major. Then again, he was the type who could make friends with anyone as long as they were decent.

Aurora noticed all of the people pouring in. Livvy's parties were always highly attended. Taking a sip of her alcohol before smiling at the other partigoers that passed by, she adjusted her headband. "Thanks, Leon. You bet." Aurora said as he hit them up. It was great being at parties like this. Well actually parties in general. After Livvy complemented her costume, she said a quick thanks and 'danced' a bit. It really wasn't dancing, more along the lines of moving with the beat. Aurora decided to go ahead and find somewhere else to mingle. For all of her life, Aurora had been an extremely social person. At her parties she usually fluttered from group to group, making sure no one felt left out.
Aurora headed back over to the food table to see if anything she would actually eat was on there. She was a vegan, so meat was completely out of the question. Ever since she had visited her relative's farm and saw their poor turkey get slaughtered for Thanksgiving, she never ate meat again. Most couldn't see how she could live without meat, but it was quite easy actually. Now, eleven years later, meat disgusted her. So she usually just settled for the meat-less snacks. When Aurora reached the table, she noticed a tall and slightly familiar guy standing there. A smile graced her lips as she watched him take out his fangs. She laughed softly as she grabbed a plate and started to get a few things.
"Hey Neil, how's it going?"Aurora asked casually as she picked through what had been set out. Aurora had talked to him a handful of times thanks to her friendship with his girlfriend. She hadn't seen a teenage love so intense as Neil and Juliet's. Swallowing a bit more of her drink, she waited for his reply. She noticed Leon who had complimented her earlier and smiled in his direction. Her eyes scanned the room for anyone that might be familiar before bringing her attention back to her plate. She took a bite out of mozerella stick, rememebering that she hadn't ate at all that day.

girl, put your records on tell me your favourite song you go ahead let your hair down Pheonix scurried around her room, getting the last bit of her costume together. She really was excited for Livvy's party. Sure, they weren't exactly best buds, but she had heard many, many stories about how awesome Livvy's parties were, and she just couldn't wait to experience it herself. Though whether it was a good thing, Pheonix wasn't sure. If not holden back by somebody, Pheonix could go a little... all out on parties. She liked having her limits, but she couldn't exactly keep them herself. School had just started and Pheonix didn't know many people, so she didn't have that friend to hold her back. Even though she was a bit nervous about that, she put it behind her. Pheonix was going to go to her first party at Darmon. Whether she never remembered it because she was drunk, or she managed to stay sober, she had a feeling it was going to be pretty damn awesome.
She walked over to her bed, where she had lain her costume out. Pulling off the clothes she was wearing, she slipped into the white tights and the blue and white dress. Pheonix topped the look off with black flats, a black headband with a bow on top, red lipstick, and mascara.
Pheonix ran over to her full length mirror, wanting to see what she looked like in her costume. When she saw herself in her costume she almost burst out laughing. Though the outfit (exclufing the fact that it was much shorter) was almost the exact same as in the classic Disney movie, Alice in Wonderland, Pheonix looked ridiculous with her bright red hair. It just didn't fit the character. But it did make the costume stand out, make it different, and this Pheonix liked.
The young lady walked out of her bedroom and downstairs, out the door, no car keys in hand. Yes, this girl was not getting there by car. Why? There's a simple answer for that. She was too young to drive. Pheonix might have even walked if she could drive. It was just a fifteen- twenty minute walk, and it was a gorgeous night. It was always good to get some fresh air sometimes, and walking gave you time to get your head clear and just think. It would make Pheonix a bit late, but she was okay with that. Better late than early, right?
She headed out into the night, and after exactly seventeen minutes and thirteen seconds she was there. Pheonix was a bit surprised at how well done the whole place was, but she suspecting something a bit like that. Not seeing anybody she knew, and not exactly wanting to go say hello to Livvy, she just stood there wandering, working her way through the crowd trying to find someone she knew.

---------------------------------------As soon as she popped the chip into her mouth, Livvy was hooked. That was the thing about plain, salty potato chips, they were addictive. She continued stuffing her face with them, in a graceful kind of way, mind you, and soon realized that she would need to refresh her drink. Her smile that had formed at Mariah's Ghandi comment slowly disappeared as the next staement issued from her twin's mouth. She just stood there for a while, stone-faced and unblinking, trying to calm her nerves. It would not be right to blow up at her sister at what was supposed to be a fun party, so for a few moments she hesitated. Then she spoke up, in a voice just slightly above a whisper but with all the fierceness of a shout. "I'm sorry. I didn't know I was... bugging you." Livvy spat out the last two words menacingly, though she wasn't exactly sure what she was mad about. She had thought she was just making conversation with Mariah, but apparntly she was a burden. Of course, Livvy was never not saracstic or rude, and Mariah had every right to be angry with her every second of the day, but still. This was her party, not her twins, and the least she could do was show her a little... respect.
Turning to Neil, who had just entered the little bubble of drama, Livvy narrowed her eyes. She had half a mind to shout at him and throw him out of the house, but she thought better of it. "No, Neil, I haven't seen her. I invited her, but I haven't seen her." She said cheerily, putting a big fake smile on her face while crossing her arms. "Uh-oh. You better find her quick. You know Juliet, always wreaking havoc wherever she goes." Livvy joked, laughing a bit too loudly. She had decided in the past five seconds that for the rest of the night she would ignore Mariah, seeing as being around her only got her upset. Plus, Livvy didn't want to bother her, no, didn't want to waste her precious airspace. "Excuse me." She said quietly, pushing past her sister and Neil and making her way to the drink table, filling up her red platic cup once again. She had two drink already, but wasn't quite feeling the effects. Livvy was notorious for her ability to hold her liquor, and although she ended up piss drunk on more than a few occasions, she never completely blacked out all the way. Except that one time...
Making her way through the party and mingling with her guests, she noticed Pheonix. Sighing begrudginly, she made her way over to her arch rival, putting her best "no funny business" look on her face. "Pheonix! What a pleasure!" She said loudly, in a very fake, sugar-coated tone. She tilted her head and looked at the tiny girl with a soft, simpering smile while her eyes flashed red. "Cute costume." She added, in that same voice. Livvy was not going to throw her out, her parties were always open to anyone that wanted to come. However, she would not stand idly by if Pheonix's motives were to destroy her reputation. "Look, you're welcome to stay here, you little... dragon." Okay, so maybe Livvy was feeling those two and a half drinks. "But I don't want any big scenes tonight, okay? You and me might not be on the best of terms, but let's not go and ruin everyone else's good time, alright?" She asked, dropping her fake sweetness and being completely blunt and straight-forward. It was actually very civil for Livvy, even with the insult, and it would be false to say she wasn't a little proud of herself. She took a victory sip of her drink as she waited for the girl's answer. Neil just raised his eyebrows at Livvy's reaction. O-kay, so she wasn't in too good a mood. No matter; he'd just go talk to someone else. He turned around and saw Aurora, and gave a smile. He knew her because she was a friend of Juliet's. Well, he figured, if Juliet wasn't here, he might as well talk to some other people until she arrived. Which, hopefully she would.
"Hey Aurora." he said. "Nice costume. 20s flapper, right?" he asked. He had read a book from the 20s once, and it had mentioned the flappers and what they wore (which was what she was wearing). He couldn't remember which book exactly it was; probably one by F Scott Fitzgerald.
"I'm pretty good. Just got here a couple minutes ago." he told her. He took another bite of the pigs-in-a-blanket, effectively finishing it off before picking up another. "What about you?" he asked her. He hadn't actually spoken to her in a number of days.
