Aurora nodded and smiled once more as he noted on her costume. "Thanks." she said as she took a sip of her drink once more. "Yep, that's right." Almost invoulantary, she moved her hand and made the fringe shake. For some reason, she just loved the way it moved. As she finished eating her mozzerella stick, she noticed he was eating a mini-corn dog. She ran her hand through her blonde hair as she took another sip. Since she had been a vegan for such a long time, meat didn't bother her anymore but she couldn't really understand how anyone could eat it.
"I'm good too. Just glad to be able to go to a party."Aurora said laughing softly. She usually threw a party and it was really nice to be able not to have to worry about guests making a mess of her apartment. Tonight she could finally unwind from the school week's hectic activities. It was only Friday and she had the rest of the weekend to do whatever she wanted. Luckily enough for her, she had finished all of her homework earlier that day. So now she could really relax. She finished her bottle but waited to grab for another one. It wasn't worth much to her to get drunk, if she even would, at the beginning of the party.
Aurora soon noticed that his other half was missing. "Where's Juliet?" she asked curiously. One hardly saw those two apart. She thought it was so sweet how much they were in love. Her best relationship didn't even contain a fraction of what theirs did. Aurora didn't worry much about relationships since she'd rather just go with the flow of things. She didn't want to be one of those girls who worried frantically about their dating scene.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As Livvy quietly hissed venom back at Mariah, just because Mariah had the gall to talk back, well, say anything even slightly negative to her, Livvy had apperently taken it as a decleration of verbal war. Mariah was used to the tounge lashing, so the sharply edged words that Livvy said did cut into her, but she was pretty much numb to them. She stood there, accepted the slightly verbal assault. It was surprising that Livvy knew how to modulate her tone to just the right way to cut into someone without fully knowing what damage it did to people. Of course it was possible that Livvy did know, but she was used to doing it so much that it easily flowed into her voice without her full knowledge.
Mariah glanced at Neil as he entered the scene. She was surprised that Neil didn't receive some kind of backlash from Livvy. Livvy faked being nice quite easily, once again, it was probably second nature to her. She didn't know if Neil could tell that both Mariah and Livvy were in the midst of some kind of sibling arguement, if he did he didn't seem to care. Probably too busy with his own problems. Wasn't his fault really. All teenagers were self-absorbed, even she was.
Livvy shoved past Mariah and Neil quite quickly, probably needing to refill her booze cup. Mariah glanced at Neil. She dropped her eyes and shrugged. She turned around, nearly running into Alexis who had been standing nearly behind her. "Uh, Alexis, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna leave," She gave Alexis a small fake smile and moved past Alexis, trying to find her way away from the snack table. She wasn't really in the mood to stand around in the party anymore. If Livvy didn't want her at her party, it seemed like a easy request to abide by.
She finally found herself at the drink table just as Livvy was leaving it. She sighed slightly at that, though she figured Livvy would have just ignored her. Mariah eyed one of the liquored up drinks and finally decided to pick one up. she took a deep sip from it, nearly coughing it back up, but she kept it down. It tasted horrible but she remembered the only time she actually got horribly drunk. She had been with Jack and she had been glad he had been a really good friend. He had held her hair, literally, throughout the rest of the night. But no one was ehre really to help her now. She took another big sip.
girl, put your records on tell me your favourite song you go ahead let your hair down Pheonix tried to stay put, not wanting to go to the drinks table that early on in the night. She knew if she did, she was a totally goner for good. Because then it would be drink after drink after drink. She kept on looking for people she knew as distractions, but the place was too crowded and the people she knew few. It didn't seem like a possibility, so she instead decided to head toward the table full of food. She had already eaten before, but there was no harm in eating more, right? Pheonix as a bottomless pit, and always stayed skinny no matter how much junk she let into her body.
Pheonix stopped in her tracks on the way to the food table, and a smile slowly but surely spread across her lips. Livvy was walking in her direction, and more precisely, walking toward her. That seemed like a pretty good distraction, and a fun one at that. Though she wasn't exactly planning on having a scene at the party, if a scene is what Livvy wanted, a scene is what Livvy would get.
"Thanks dahhhlin'," She added at Livvy's comment in an over annunciated British accent, even though she knew the comment had been sarcastic. Through her attempt at a British accent you could tell why Pheonix hadn't chosen the dramatic arts as a major, even though she was over dramatic herself. It was the simple fact that she couldn't act for her life. She looked Livvy up and down, taking in her 'costume'. Pheonix tried to think of a compliment for it, but she simply couldn't. "I would say I loved yours too, if you had one. Unless you were dressing as a slut?" she asked, tilting her head to one side, saying it with mock innocence. It wasn't a diss, sure. But it was also the truth. Pheonix didn't really see what Livvy was wearing as a 'costume'. Sure, girls wore revealing costumes. Pheonix knew that. But at least they were costumes.
Though she knew Livvy wouldn't be ecstatic to see her there, she also knew she wouldn't be told to go. And she was happy to have that prediction confirmed. And the dragon comment, well she could deal with that. "Dragon, am I?" She asked, grinning. "Well, then. Let's see...I'm bigger, stronger, and faster than you." She started, pointing out what to her was the obvious. "I think I'll crush your first." Pheonix started, pretending to contemplate on what to do next. "And then I think I'll eat you for dinner. Yes, yes. And then spit you out after wards?"
Pheonix was a bit surprised by Livvy's next statement. She didn't think the girl would suspect her to ruin the party. And of course, Pheonix wasn't even thinking about it. Until she mention it. Until she provoked her. Though no ideas came to mind straight away. Until she could figure something out, that idea was behind her. "Me? Ruin your party?" She asked in fake shock, a hand going to her heart, her eyes widening in supposed surprise. "Never!" Pheonix added a smirk, then waited for her enemies reaction.
»Leon» hey mr. dj you gotta put a record on, yeah we're gonna bury this town tonight we're gonna dance all night Taking another sip of his drink, Leon looked around the room some more for anyone he might recognize. This party was getting full fast and everyone was beginning to mesh together as he trailed his eyes around the room. A frown couldn't help but come on his face when he heard Livvy very loudly talk to one of the girl's at the party. Being a professional liar he could tell anyone faking it a mile away. It was almost painful to listen to another person pretending to act sweet, almost like nails on a chalk board. A little bit curious he looked towards the two figures, easily placing the fire-toned hair with a name. Listening from a distance at first, he frowned even more as Livvy, a little drunk, spoke down to the first year he was very close to. As a test he turned his back on the pair, placing his drink on the table, wanting to see what Pheonix would do. Hopefully some of his little scoldings about restraint had sunk in.
What was he talking about though? He was preaching on holding back insults and that was what he did half the time. In the back of his mind his little devil was rooting Pheonix and hoping she'd put Livvy in her place. Technically that is what Leon would do in her position. At the same time, he didn't want to see the girl kicked out of her first party. Definitely not good for her reputation and would be a very bad ego deflater. He'd step in if he needed to, but right now he would so if she could take care of herself. Grabbing a chip from the snack table he munched on it while listening, wincing slightly at Pheonix's comeback. Shit, she really needed to learn how to play nice with the host. Even if you hated their guts, it was their party. Still kudos for the insult. If he had to give it a rating out of ten, it probably be a nine. Almost as good as one of his remarks.
Turning around he decided it would be best to intervene now before Livvy decided to kick his younger friends ass. Taking a deep breath he let smile come on his features, the expression mostly coming out of amusement of Pheonix's actions. Taking a few steps towards there direction he carefully stood by his friends side, pretending to be oblivious of the tension in the air. “I didn't know you were coming Pheonix! Next time maybe call me for a ride if your coming to a party.”
He said, shaking his head lightly. “Mind if I borrow her, Livvy? Thanks.” He quickly wrapped a hand around the girl left arm and softly pulled her away from the the host who was just ready to spit out flames. Once a good distance and near the furniture, Leon sat down and pulled on the girl's arm to emphasis he wanted her to sit down too. “You know I always love your spunk, sweetheart, but seriously. I can't love what's dead.” he said with a small frown. If he hadn't been around a cat fight would have surely come out of her little comment. Sighing the joker released the girl's arm and put his hands behind his head. The frown could never last long when the first year was around, already giving into an amused smile. “It was a nice touch though, standing up for yourself like that. Next time be less obvious about it, huh? Oh, and killer costume. But I never depicted you as the sweet innocent Alice.” He knew the girl well, even if he had only been acquainted with her since school started. The second he met her, he knew she was a wild child, ready to take in the craziness of Darmon Academy with it's drinking, smoking, and sex. Too bad she now had Leon to hold her back and make sure she didn't into too much crap. Leon was no party-pooper, but he definitely would be her limit bar. Green eyes looking over the smaller girl he said with an interested smirk, “So you like your first party so far, Pheeni? Or are you gravely disappointed?” It was funny to ask about Pheonix's first times after it had been years since he had experienced going through a 'first' anything. He had tried a lot during his first year, and plenty more his second. In away, he didn't want the younger girl to follow in his shoes. She was a partier and outgoing, just like him, and he knew that even those good qualities could get out of hand sometimes. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
Neil chuckled inaudibly when she swished her fringes. It was amusing, like watching the head of a bobble-head shake on someone's car or something. He finished off what he was eating. "How's that mozzerella stick?" he asked her. "I've never had one before." He wanted to try one, but wanted someone's opinion first; he'd always seen them as really greasy food.
He smiled and nodded when she said it was nice to go to a party. Well, as opposed to throwing one, of course; aurora threw one nearly every year, and for once she was attending one instead. He noticed the drink in her hand, but as he didn't feel like drinking yet, he decided to stop by the drink table a little later.
"I was wondering the same thing." he said with a frown. "We didn't come here together and I didn't ask if she was going because I didn't intend on going until like, day before yesterday, or yesterday." he told her. "I was kind of hoping you'd know."
