mariah says: “my first hope really when i started school was to go into music, that was back when i was a bit more personable and able to not only have friends, but have many of them and keep them around not just for the fact that i give out advice. this was also when i had short dyed blonde hair, i liked that style but i switched it when i got out of music. but back to the main point. i met dawson while i was still in music. he composed music and played the guitar, i on the other hand played a plethora of instruments, including but not limited to the banjo and the piano, i also sung a bit. anyway, he tried to help me out, writing a few things out for me to try out, pointing out a few things i could try different on string instruments, etc, etc. at the time i didn't know why he would pick me out of a whole group of first year people to help out, but over time i saw it was because he had a crush on me. when i did figure that out i was in a relationship with aaron cherry, who kept trying to make me open up about my feelings. i think i 'emotionally cheated' on him by opening up more with dawson then i ever did with aaron. that made me feel a bit guilty whenever i met up with aaron and that contributed to our relationship ending. no one knows this, not aaron, not dawson, not anyone, but because it had been my first 'real' romantic relationship, it shook my confidence in myself when we broke up. it contributed to me dropping out of the music department, msotly because standing up in front of people, singing and sturmming a guitar or playing a piano takes a whole lot of self-confidence, which i did not have, not by a long shot. so i switched over to writing, writing stuff was a bit more impersonable then singing, i could stay where i was when people read what i did. no one would associate me with what i wrote. luckily dawson stayed friends with me, even though he couldn't fathom why i would drop out of music to go to the lowly writing department. it probably seemed like a step down to him. he's a bit more then my regular bunch of friends, sure he seeks out a few bits of advice from my endless supply, but he also has a pressence to him that helps me out without even having to talk to him. we flirt around a bit, one of the few people i can. he makes me blush quite easily with many of his comments, i try my best to keep our get togethers short so my face doesn't burst into flames. if anythign major happens, or if i ever needed someone, i believe i would go to dawson. i feel like i missed a chance with him as well, since he had a crush on me while i was dating aaron. he seems over me now, but i think, maybe, i'm interested.”

mariah says: “I always try to keep my self distant from a lot of people, since for me normal friendships rarely play out very well. Luckily Adam is the exception to this rule. But it's different for me, or at least I believe it is. I write because I have the compulsion to, I have to write down my thoughts. There's no logical reason behind it, not at all. It's probably just OCD or something. Whatever it is, I'm apperently pretty good at writing. I used to believe that what I wrote was just crap, well, I still do but others think that what I write is good, more than good really. I was once even approached by a publisher once after I had something printed in the school newspaper. I turned the publisher down, I didn't think that I was as good as he thought I was. Then Mr. Choi approached me. From what I heard about him was that he was a heartless bastard who found it more fun knocking people down and berating them with his words and then call it 'constructive critiscim'. All of this is true and then some. But I've also heard that he rarely takes any interest in writers. I guess I know what this says about my writings, maybe they are good, but on the other hand it's possible Mr. Choi has bad tastes. Seeing the girls he sleep with, that's all too possible. Mr. Choi seems to restrain himself while in my company, I think it's because he doesn't want to chase me off. He figures I'm a bit flighty, which might be true, but I also hate change more than anything. So if I actually did want to get things published I believe I would stick with Mr. Choi, not because he's good or nice but becaust I'm used to him, I know how he acts. Mr. Choi still berates most of my work, finding something wrong on every page at least. Interestingly enough I stick around even when he does talk down to me. I'm so used to guys being nice to me, it's like whenever a guy meets a quiet girl they always try to be nice to them. It's... refreashing to meet someone who doesn't do that. I respect him for not keeping a hidden agenda, I can usually tell what he wants, sure he might just be using me, but I know... I think I know that I can leave at any time. It's funny, he flirts with all of his clients, he does so with me but less so. He flirts, yes, but it's like he pulls back on what he could do, like what he does when he's mean. I-I don't know why, but I like spending time around the man, like I perfer him being mean to me then me just sitting around going on with the same old thing going on in my life. I usually hate change, but agreeing to be a client for Mr. Choi was a change, yet I wasn't against it. Why is this so complicated for me? I like him being mean to me, I guess that would sum it up.”

Many are appalled by her attitude and pessimistic side at times. I, on the other hand, find it interesting and respect her for it. Maybe not the respect I'd give some of my close friends, but I definitely don't yelled at her when I'm on a rampage. Another reason it's easy to get along with her is because she's quite attractive. Unlike her sister who bugs me all the time, I kind of think she's a lot hotter than the whore. It could be the way she holds herself or how I just desire what I can't have. * i can't tell when you fake, it don't show when you break » ANNOYANCEmariah says: "livvy, i've lived with her for all my seventeen years, plus almost nine months. it's weird to think that we could be so close yet be so different. for the life of me i don't really know if i love her completely, it's hard to describe my feelings for her. i suppose i do have a connection with her, sharing the same face can do that to a person. we kinda parted ways when we both became teenagers. over time livvy became the outgoing one, making friends, going over to people's houses. i was a bit more timid and without my sister i suppose i withdrew into myself. it's not her fault, no, she has her own life and doesn't need to look out for me. and then there's that key point. it's like she's the older sister, i think she wants to look out for me but i think it's kind of hard for her to get past her fake upbeat personality and deal with things. i look up to her, or at least try to, with her self-destructive ways it's kinda hard to feel anything but hate for the ways she does things. the sad thing about her self-destructive ways is that it gets her attention and i think that's all she wants really. living in her shadow is both difficult and easy. sometimes guys will come up to me randomly and think that i am my sister and try to hit on me, other times i am refered to as the 'other fergusen', like people can't be bothered to learn my name. i do resent her for that, just because we're related i'm either thrown in the same ballpark as her or i'm completely forgotten. i wish i knew what my sister thought of me, whether she resents me for looking like her, resents me for our mother, resents me for something i don't even know about. if words were truth, then livvy would hate me more then most people hate their worst enemies. you know how in some movies you'll have that little scene that's slightly white washed with people playing their good ol' memories as kids? sometimes i wish thing were like that, less complicated, less painful. even if it meant putting up with our grandparents putting us in the same clothing."

We met in our first year, when we were both in music and we have been through a lot together.. we have both changed so much. She changed to writing, I've grown up and we've been together for that. Many are appalled by her attitude and pessimistic side at times. I, on the other hand, find it interesting and respect her for it. Maybe not the respect I'd give some of my close friends, but I definitely don't yelled at her when I'm on a rampage. Another reason it's easy to get along with her is because she's quite attractive. Unlike her sister who bugs me all the time, I kind of think she's a lot hotter than the whore. It could be the way she holds herself or how I just desire what I can't have.
