but it's okay everyone calls me; Heath. Call him Heath.
i popped outta my mom's b.ajingo; March 21st.

it's just the way the wind blows; He's in the closet.

you know i could just swim in those; bright blue-green eyes.
does the carpet match the drapes; dirty blonde? light brown?
i wish i could lose like three pounds; one thirty-ish and declining.
she looks like a freakin giraffe; five feet, ten inches or so.
and then i got one on my a.ss; none.
they always seem to notice my; lips and eyebrows.
you'll never see me without my; hair; Heath thinks that his hair is his weakest feature. It's nothing special at all. It's just short and trimmed all around, being a bit longer in the front with some bangs. It's a boring, average shade, in between a dirty blonde and a pale brown. it sometimes gets curly or waves when he grows it out a bit longer. On the flipside, when it's short, it's straight and usually flips up in some places.
eyes; Now, on the contrary, Heath thinks that these are his best feature. They're almond-shaped though that's not to say that they don't show anything small. From someone else's perspective, they show this sort of vulnerability, weakness, and perpetual sort of sadness. It may sound cliche or hokey but they really show the mechanics of Heath's mind. Their color varies, usually a bright sort of pale blue. It changes, though, from anywhere to a light blue-green to a blue-gray. Long, feathery brown lashes frame his eyes along with two strong eyebrows.
body; Heath's stature is probably his most evident and up-front feature. He's quite tall and incredibly, incredibly skinny. He's utterly disproportionate, not only because he's tall, around five-ten, but also, you guessed it, a fucking twig. His weight is slowly declining from a hundred thirty pounds because of the fact that he chooses not to eat. And when he does, he takes a trip to the bathroom, trust toothbrush in his back pocket. Hipbones and ribbones severely jut out of his skin, sternum pressed against his skin tightly. Some people might find his non-clothed body frightening because of how thin he is, but he couldn't be happier.
style; There isn't really much to say about Heath's style because he doesn't have one. It's anything simple. He dresses in mostly solid colored tees from American Apparel or Old Navy or any other basic place. Jeans or corduroys are his bottoms of choice or athletic shorts and sweats on days that he's dancing. He wears a lot of plain hoodies and his shoes are mostly just moccasins, vans, and tap shoes.
facial structure; Heath has a very innocent structure that is true to how young he is. He has pale, pale pink lips that are definitely a very evident feature of his. They appear plush and pouty, however, reveal a wide, exuberent grin whenever he smiles. Heath has very straight, white teeth due to his father being a dentist. His nose is cute with just the right amount of point and bump. His nose bone is very apparent when he's in profile, a defined little bump in the middle. Heath has small ears, though they're quite noticeable and stick out slightly whenever his hair is styled messily so that it sticks up and reveals them.

i'm about to get wickety-wack all over; mirrors. his body. his endless rolls of fat. judgemental people. his parents. academic classes. not being able to come out.
it's like my signature kinda thing; dancing. purging.
oh god not this again, i so suck; food. math.
it's like children of the corn but worse; that he'll never be able to come out. that he will fail at dancing. that he won't be able to get away from his parents.
you know one day i'm going to; to become a successful tap dancer. to become perfectly skinny. to come out of the closet.
it's just this weird innate thing; he hums quite frequently, improvising tunes. when he walks, he often throws in these little tap moves in between strides.
some things just make me scream; great smiles. kindness. being able to accept people. simple, classic taste in things. people who are comfortable in their own skin.
that is the most digusting thing ever; abrasiveness. too much glamour. demanding people.
you best remember this b.itch;
i n s e c u r e
Heath is incredibly, incredibly insecure. Think of that girl you sit next to in math class whose hair is always over her face and she wears boxy clothing and no make up and you just imagine how uncomfortable she feels in her own skin. And then there's Heath, who probably feels twice that. He can pretty much thank his father and a few rough tap instructors for the insecurity issues and thus anorexia. That's his way with coping with his own low self esteem. He'll never eat until he feels numb and then he'll have a cheese cube or a grape and the cycle continues. It's harsh but whenever Heath is lying in bed, counting his visible bones, he feels beautiful.
m o r o s e
Well, needless to say, low self esteem brings sadness and sadness brings insecurity. You may think that if Heath ended one, he'd end the other, but it's quite the opposite. He can't end one without ending the other, so he can't end either at all. So anyway, as you can imagine, Heath is just perpetually down in the dumps. There's a few moments every day when he feels content or a sort of tempered happiness, and they're mostly when he's tap dancing by himself, no instructors or coaches or teachers involved. In fact, it's the contrary once more when he's in tap class. Since Heath is a rather talented dancer, they usually expect a lot from him and push him and try to get the best out of him. And he's fine with that, it's just when they don't give any constructive feedback, only negative, that he starts to be bothered. And that makes him feel imperfect, thus causing him to go and purge. See the connection? Also, since he's in the closet, he constantly feels like he's faking himself and that he can't be honest. And that, to him, is what makes him the most depressed.
c o l d
If you don't know Heath and you confront him, talking to him, he probably won't respond in a friendly, warm way. He won't be grinning, arm extended to shake hands. He probably won't introduce himself. Heath doesn't really understand or trust humanity and he's quick to assume that you're not an exception. He's very kind to friends, it's just strangers or people he doesn't know very well that get the cold shoulder.
d e s p e r a t e
Heath is dying for so many things. Love, care, acceptance, to be thin, perfection. He hasn't realized yet that the latter is impossible to achieve, and though that's what people have told him, that just makes Heath want it even more. He's a driven boy and will try to get what he so desperately pines for, but at the same time, he's a bit too weak to go out at get it. Some may call him lazy for that fect, but he just wants it to come to him.
q u i e t
We've already established that Heath is a boy who won't be particuarly warm when you first meet him and this may even continue when you get to know each other well. He's quiet and doesn't like to speak much, unless spoken to.
i n t e l l i g e n t
Though he may not be blatant about it, Heath is an incredibly smart boy. He's a natural for quickly understanding things and always did well during school. He hated math class, especially algebra one, though he excelled at any placement he was in. He was eligible to skip a grade during middle school, though he wanted to pursue dnacing instead, and so saw no need for this jump. His father was enraged at how his son was during something so "dishonorable" and "pathetic", so Heath just studied even harder. Now that academics don't matter as much as the trade that they're learning, Heath works extra hard at dancing, it having taken his old usual classes' place. That's not to say he doesn't do things in his own time, though. Heath loves to read both fiction and nonfiction books and write just about anything, and finds himself doing it frequently.

that's what i'll look like when i'm old; all of his grandparents are still alive, but live far away, so there aren't regular visits. his mom's parents live in montana and his dad's parents in illinois. visits are at easter, thanksgiving, and christmas, mostly.
you know the different kind of uncle; too many aunts and uncles. in fact, heath has never met most of them, except for two of his dad's six siblings.
and the one that looks like a rat; there are so many that he can hardly distinguish them all.
pretty freakin sure we're not related; nobody notable enough.
yea they used to eat my shoelaces; he has a gray, young cat named charlie.
it's like hell but only faster; It always seemed as if the Caulfields were destined to be the epitome of a perfect, happy family. Jonathan and Elizabeth were high school sweethearts, him being the varisty football team's quarterback, she being the captain of the cheerleading squad. They were the perfect couple with barely any rough patches. The couple went to the same college and both studied dentistry and graduated certified. Jonathan and Elizabeth moved into a quaint, medium-sized home and after a few years had their first son, Heath.
He was a pretty baby and they trained him well when he was an infant. Heath learned things quickly and was walking and talking quickly. As he got older, around seven or eight, his parents started to raise him and their other three boys with their specific views. Both Jon and Liz were very conservative and wanted to raise their children the same way. Anything too liberal or left-wing was shunned. They attended church regularly and were strong believers in the Catholic faith. Heath wasn't quite old enough to understand what any of this really meant, only that it was routine and normal for this family.
However, rebellion started to sink in when Heath reached around age twelve and thirteen. Awareness of his surroundings was rising, as well as his own independence. He discovered quite a few things because of two very liberal friends of his at school. He found that he was pro-choice- even though it was completely against his faith-, pro-gay marriage-again, even though his parents spoke out hugely against 'fags'-, that he wanted the church seperate from the government- something his parents would hate, thinking the government revolves around and is dependent on the church- among many other things. Being the optimistic, cheery boy he was, he came home from a few days of epiphanies at school to tell his parents.
They were enraged. Real shocker. Heath was sent to his room without dinner to study, even though he'd been done with that night's work. After that day, Heath's parents continued to shun him for those views that he shard. They didn't talk to him much, but when they did, it was that sort of "how silly that you'd believe such things, Heath" speech. It didn't help that his three little brothers contributed to the shunning, glaring at Heath from across the table whenever they'd say their prayer before dinner.
Heath continued to try to be the perfect son and make up for this slip by studying. He was soon a straight A student but even that didn't seem to impress his parents, his father, especially. Jonathan would look at the percentages and frown. "Your highest grade is in Art class?" Heath was so embarrassed and began to look for an outlet, sketching being his only one at the time. One of his liberal friends was a ballet dancer and his mother a dance teacher. This friend of his, Nolan, offered Heath free dance classes. Soon this was all Heath could think about. Nolan's mother said Heath was a natural and he shortly began a specific type of dance, tap. He excelled at this and continued to keep it a secret from his father. Meanwhile, grades began their decline, slipping into steady or low b's. He was a smart kid, definitely, just dance was constantly on his mind and sucked up all of his free time.
Reports cards came out again for this thirteen year old Heath and his father definitely noticed the slip. He was furious, perhaps even more so than he was about the political views. He asked Heath why there was this sudden change. Heath lied a few times, saying it was distraction, saying the curriculum was getting tougher, but it never got past his father. So he told the truth. "I've been tap dancing." It sounded even worse out loud. Now the anger just escalated, growing, until it seemingly occupied the whole room. Heath, though at the time he knew it was probably a bad idea, escaped to his room fo fear of anything violent or too harsh happening.
From there on, he made a vow to himself that he'd achieve some sort of perfection, whatever it may be, so that his dad could see the real him, the good boy Heath. He knew that when it came to religion and political views that perfection would never happen. He could forget abou dance because even though he was getting excellent at it, it was worthless to his dad. And his grades would require some work. So he chose something else: his appearance. It was deliberate at first, a lack of a cookie here, no breakfast there. Soon it became a lifestyle, a warped sense of mind. Heath would stare into the mirror, shirt pulled up, frowning at the
Fourteen year old Heath began loosing more and more weight, becoming the skinny boy he wanted. Whenever he was forced to eat a meal by his parents, after dinner, he'd go into the bathroom and purge. He knew that it was possibly unhealthy but he was willing to do whatever it took. Soon the feeling of a growling stomach became a comfort to Heath but whenever it became unbearable, he'd have something small, like a grape or a cracker.
As his anorexia was developing, he discovered his sexuality, too. He'd innocently be in the dance studio, in a class, when a dancing boy would catch his eye. Heath would think innocent things, like he looks really nice when he twirls and they wouldn't bother him that much. But it was when he had a wet dream about his best friend Nolan that he really started to become scared. In dance the day after the Nolan-at-night episode, he found himself looking at the boys much more, unintentionally. It seemed like these newly-attractive boys only motivated Heath to do better in dance, wanting to impress them. He was reached by the local skills academy, Darmon, on a full scholarship for dance.
Knowing that his dad wouldn't ever help him with a trade so "silly", he accepted the deal, only telling his parents that he was invited to a prestigious academy. Before they knew it, he was all packed up, and out the door. So here we are now with a troubled Heath, one much different from the little boy he was. He's damaged and fragile in more ways than one, though still prepared to defend himself and pursue whatever his tapping feet lead him to.
