-------------------------- the jaeger's so sweet but if it keeps you around, then i'm downoutfit This weekend was going to be perfect for all the right reasons. At least for Aurora it was. First off, they had Friday off, second of all her parents were out of town and finally she could throw a party. Her parents didn't really care if she threw a party on the weekends, as long as she cleaned up. When she arrived home, the first thing she did was sling her bag onto her bed and relaxed. Why waste a perfectly good afternoon studying. After showering and getting ready for tonight, Aurora thought about what to do tonight. She didn't really want to clean up a party, but wanted some people to come over.
As she went down the stairs to the den, she took out her phone and looked through her phone. Most of her friends were going out of town, except one. A big smile came on Aurora's face as she saw Riley's name. The two had always a great time together, especially at parties. As she got his okay, she looked through her fridge to see what was good. Of course her parents had a large stash for their parties in the cellar. Aurora brought up everything she thought she and Riley would enjoy drinking.
Aurora got a bucket full of ice and placed the drinks in it. After placing it in her freezer, she headed back to her room to get changed. 30 minutes she came down, all ready to go. She turned on some music and just relaxed until Riley arrived. Most people wouldn't have thought that two people like Aurora and Riley would be friends. At first they didn't quite like each other, but she grew on him. Now they were really great friends. She knew how much he disliked blondes, and was surprised that he became friends with her. Oh well, things change. At least thats how she viewed it.
Aurora had always felt a bit more strongly for him than she should've. There was just something about him that made her like him more than just a friend. Truthfully, she was in love with him. But she had always been afraid to tell him. Letting out a soft sigh, she ran her hands through her soft, silky hair. She couldn't bear to tell him, just because she really didn't want to ruin their friendship. That was a secret none of her best friends new. Adam didn't know, since it was his best friend and Connor would be pissed since he's enemies.
Aurora slipped out of her daze as she looked at the time. Riley was going to be here in 10 minutes. She quickly got up and pushed the thoughts of being with him to the back of her mind. As she got the bucket out full of drinks, she smiled softly to herself. Tonight was going to be fun. Before she forgot, she let her dogs in and locked them in downstairs. Aurora loved her dogs, but she really didn't want them to disrupt tonight. After she placed the bucket on the table and turned on the music, she heard the doorbell ring. The smile grew wider on her face as she answered the door. "Hey there." she said, feeling the cool air hit her.

RILEY CHANCE JENNINGS
[Riley] sat on the edge of his bed, his elbows on his knees. His face was pressed into the palms of his hands as he sighed, slowly lifting his head and running his hands through his hair. He sat there thinking in complete serenity, for once. No one was in his apartment for the moment and it was soothing to be able and sit back without hearing the constant chatter from Adam or feeling the need to bicker with Conner. It wasn’t though he disliked Adam’s company or even completely hated bothering Conner because to be honest, both were quite amusing. He just needed the one on one time to think about things and unwind.
[He’d] been debating whether or not he should go to Burke’s, it had been a while since they had actually gotten together just to talk. Sure he’d been over there a lot lately but just to get some help in math, that was all. For a second his heart ached at the thought of Burke, his first and only love. She had been the only female he’d ever really cared for, their friendship had bloomed into romantic lust, at east on his part. Little did he know his beloved was going lesbian, and she told him that she thought she was gay the same day Riley was about to pronounce his love for her. Good thing she spoke first.
[Another] sigh rattled his chords, he pushed the thought away. There was no chance at that now, there was no need to think about. Perhaps that was why he disliked super tan blondes so much. Burke held a dark, nearly fake, tan to her skin with bright blonde hair. She’d unknowingly caused his hatred toward blonde females.
[Suddenly] the phone in his pants pocket vibrated, once, twice, three times. He finally dug his hand into his pocket and got out the phone, looking at the front to see who was calling him. Rory’s name appeared on the front and he quickly pressed talk. “Hey Rory.” He listened intently as she explained how her parents were gone, Riley was already in before she’d even technically invited him. “I’ll be on my way in twenty minutes.” He nodded as though she could see him through the phone before saying his good-byes and hanging up.
[Riley] stood up, walking over toward his dresser and shuffling through his shirts. He grabbed a red famous shirt and pulled it over his black wife beater, snagging his studded belt off the top and looping it through the pants already on his legs. Slipping on a pair of black converse on he grabbed the wallet of the top of his dresser aside where his belt had previously been and shoved it in his back pocket. He took a step forward toward the door, paused, then turned back to his dresser. He grabbed the cologne on the top and sprayed himself twice before putting it back down and leaving the dorm room.
[Grabbing] the keys to his Ford Mustang on the way he locked his dorm behind him and then left. Before long he was out the main entrance to the dorms and was stepping into his car. He put the keys in the ignition, revved it to life, and sped out of the parking lot. Once he was in his car it took him only ten minutes until he reached Rory’s house, he knew the way to her house like the back of his hand. Swerving skillfully into a parking stop he screeched to a stop, dust flying out behind his tires. Aurora hadn’t seen his new car yet and he wanted to make sure he made a good entrance by chance she was waiting for him.
[He] almost frowned when he stepped out of the car, closing the door and looking toward her front window. She wasn’t looking out it so she hadn’t seen. He shook his head as he locked his car, meandering toward the front door. He hopped the few steps at the front, stepping forward to ring the doorbell. Rory was there hastily, opening the door with a great smile. He couldn’t help but allow one of his own cross over his face, she must be one of the only people who Ri was so nice around. Her words flooded his ears as he stepped forward to give her a hug, his arms wrapping around his lithe figure gently. “Hey!” Chipper lyrics spoke as he released her and grabbed her hand to lead her outside. “Check out my new ride.”

-------------------------- the jaeger's so sweet but if it keeps you around, then i'm down Aurora hugged him back, her smile still plastered on her lips as she took in the familiar scent of his cologne. She was quite stunned to see his new ride that burned with style. "Woah, that's badass. When'd you get it?"she asked, her eyes widening with shock. It was the kind of car that anyone would die to have. As she regained her composure, her eyes traveled over the glossy, bright red body of it. Even her car could barely compare, and hers was only a year old. Red cars were never of her liking, until she saw this beauty. Her car was a sleek black BMW. "Wow, Ri. It's amazing."she said as she took one last look at it. She couldn't lie, she was extremely impressed.
As Aurora looked at him admiring his car, she couldn't help but let her thoughts drift back to earlier. She refused to let them clutter her mind while he was here so she blew it off. Rory ran her fingers through her tousled blonde locks as she felt the cool breeze pick up and run over her bare flesh. It was her mistake not to wear a jacket, but she hadn't been anticipating a trip outside. Her shirt billowed with the slight wind, moving it away from her torso. As she turned to go back inside, she pulled on his hand slightly. "Ready to go inside?" she asked, laughing softly. Unlike him, she hadn't been out in this since around 3 o'clock. It didn't seem as cold then. As the wind picked up once more, it blew her blonde hair in every direction. She let go of his hand to fix them so she could actually see.
Once they were back inside, Rory turned up thermostat slightly just so she could warm up. "There's drinks on the coffee table, take whatever. We have more in the cellar."she said, her back turned to him. It was true, in her house they had almost an unlimited multitude of drinks that anyone could want. Her parents entertained guests on a weekly basis, so they always had a variety in their basement. After every weekend of partying, they restocked it without a question. Her parents knew she partied and didn't care as long as she didn't do anything stupid.
Rory had learned her responsibility from one of her first parties. She had gone with a group of friends and they left her by herself at the party. Later the next day, she had to find a way home by herself. Luckily one of her friends had remembered to come back for her. That was enough to make her be careful. That's why she preferred throwing parties instead of attending them. At least that way she knew she'd be okay the next morning. Nonetheless, she still went to other parties and always made sure she had a way back home.
Rory made her way back to the den and sat down on the love seat behind the coffee table. After a moment of looking through what she had set out, she decided to get a Pomegranate Smirnoff. As she popped off the lid and took a drink, she leaned back against the cushion. A slight smile came across her face as she took another drink. "I'm so glad this week's over, you don't even know." she said setting the bottle down. It had been so filled with exams and hectic assignments that she didn't think she'd be able to get through the week. Of course she did. All she had for homework was an assignment from Composition, and even that was easy. She was just happy to finally be able to unwind. What a better way to spend a Thursday night? Hanging out with a good friend, just catching up and enjoying the time together.
Rory took another sip as her fingers grazed against the buttons of the remote beside her. "Is this music okay?"she asked. It was a newer station that she'd just try out for tonight. As she took another sip, she waited for his reply. Tonight was going to be a lot of fun. Usually when the two got drunk together they caused some trouble, but Aurora didn't mind. As long as they didn't destroy anything she was okay with a bit of mischief.

RILEY CHANCE JENNINGS
[He] squeezed her tightly, yet being as gentle as he would as if he were cradling a child. Rory was definitely someone he would never hurt, physically or emotionally. As he released her a chuckle escaped his chords as she spoke, his head nodding in response. “Hell yeah it is.” He paused, admiring his new baby once more. “I got her last weekend, but I’ve spent all week polishing and washing her... and doing homework.” He laughed again; the sound light hearted and elated. He always seemed to be in a good mood when he was around Rory. He allowed his gaze to wander back over to her, her facial expression clearly giving away her shock. He wondered briefly if she was aware of the fact he had millions in his bank from his parent’s death but he figured he’d leave it out. Hell, he hadn’t even told her that he didn’t have parents.
[The] smile on his face grew all the more as she commented it again. “Remind me to give you a ride in it later.” Enthusiastic baritones purred, his voice low and attractive. A wind came past them, blowing his longer locks and tousling Aurora’s. He heard her ruffle a bit and as he looked over toward her once more he noticed she was cold. He was about to offer her the large leather jacket wrapped around his torso though before he could she spoke once more, her hand finding Riley’s as she tugged it gently. He gave her hand a comforting squeeze and nodded. “We probably better. You look like you’re about to die from the big old bad wind.” Playful lyrics voiced through a smaller laughter. He still couldn’t help but taunt her occasionally.
[She] released his hand to fix her hair; she’d momentarily looked as though her hair was about to eat her face. After she made it so she could see she walked inside and Riley obediently followed. As they were inside Riley shut the door behind him while Rory went to turn the thermostat up. Perhaps she’d still want his jacket. “You want to borrow my jacket or something there Rory.” Again his lyrics were slightly taunting, though completely sincere in his offer. He heard her words and nodded, moving to the coffee table and looking through the different drinks, all of which were his favorites. “You can’t put out all my favorites Rory, there won’t be anything left.” An amused chuckle rolled off his tongue after his words before he grabbed a Mike’s Hard Lemonade, a good drink to start off the night. “And that includes what’s in the cellar.”
[He] took a seat on the love seat behind the drinks; a smaller couch made for two. He knew Rory would sit next to him too, though he didn’t mind. Personal space never really seemed to be an issue between them, it was almost as though neither of them really cared, or at least it didn’t affect them so much to be so close to one another. It was comforting really. Aurora wasn’t one of her those girls that he felt odd around, she was jut someone he could be himself with, someone he could be calm around. Well, aside from the fact he was naturally too nice to her. That part of it almost bothered him.
[As] expected she took a seat next to him after she’d grabbed her drink, a Smirnoff. So like her. He held back a chuckle as he mimicked her actions, lying back on the cushion behind him. He twisted the cap off the drink too easily, as though he was used to doing so with all drinks without a lid popper. Her familiar words filled Riley’s head once more and he shook his head in an amused manner. “Oh god, me too. Not to mention for once I have no homework all weekend.” He grinned, looking over toward her. “Which means I get to party with you all weekend.” Another laugher was released into the air; he seemed to do that a lot around her. “Unless of course you think you’ll get sick of me.” He knew the answer to that, the two never got sick of each other, and they’d spent a many weekends together. There were times where he would just stay the night the entire weekend while her parents were away. They were inseparable at times like that.
[Riley] took a long drink of his drink, downing nearly half of it in a few large swigs. He drank too much for his own good. If he’d wanted to he could have probably downed that entire thing. He pulled it from his lips, the liquor sliding down his throat. He made an ‘ahh’ sound as he swallowed, looking back to Rory. “Yes, I like it.” he commented, flashing his all too handsome crocked smile. “So what have you been up to all weekend? I haven’t really had the chance to talk to you much.” In all honesty they really hadn’t talked to each other at all this week. A rare thing for them. He usually got a call or text from her every other day or so. He wasn’t mad though, he knew she was overly packed with homework, just as he had been all week.

-------------------------- the jaeger's so sweet but if it keeps you around, then i'm down "I'll count on it." Rory said, her face lighting up with a smile once more. She was excited to take a ride in it. It looked so fast. One thing that made her choose one car over another was the speed. At first glance, one would imagine her driving something reasonable and stylish, like a porsche. Anyone who truly knew her that she loved to be able to let loose and drive fast down an empty road. That was one of the things that made her miss South Carolina. There were plenty of rarely used roads by her house and she usually drove up and down it with top speed. The day she got her BMW last year, the day after her birthday, she took a drive all around the surrounding countryside.
Rory shrugged and ran her fingers through her hair once more. "Eh, it's okay. You know my parents, they'll think that they ran out at their last party."she said, a soft chuckle accompanying her words. It slightly surprised her that they never noticed that their dwindling supply of 'party' drinks were on account of her. It made her laugh every time when she heard her mother complaining about them serving too much alcohol at their last party. Her parents even let her drink at their parties, when she attended them at least. Of course she wasn't stupid enough to get drunk in front of them. Then they'd have a problem. This amused her even more. At least she didn't have to make up different stories about things that happened to their drinks after every weekend they went away.
Almost every time Aurora's parents went away she had a party. It was just part of her nature. She loved to entertain and besides, she hated spending a night alone if she felt perfectly fine or if she wasn't swamped with homework. Unlike most people, Rory wasn't too terribly tough on the guest lists. Since she got along with the majority of the student body, they were all invited. Except the select few who irked her more than anything else. As she finished off her drink and sat the bottle on the coffee table, she thought of her top 5 parties she had ever thrown. There were loads of them that could be accounted for, but only a few were truly worth bragging about. Her top party was probably a few years ago during the summer when she and everyone who was in town went to the beach. That was before she headed of to South Carolina for the remainder of the summer. They had a bonfire and ended up sleeping out on the beach overnight. Although she got sick the next day, she had a lot of fun.
Aurora nodded and smiled softly. "I know. I'm just glad to finally have this week over and done with. " she said as she grabbed for another bottle. This time she just randomly took something out of the bucket. There wasn't anything she set out that she didn't like. "No. I don't want you over here ever again after tonight."she said, her expression suddenly going serious. About five seconds later, she burst in to laughter. "Just kidding. Of course you can party with me this weekend." she said before taking a sip of her drink. He spent weekends at a time here, so of course it wouldn't be a problem. She loved spending time with him. As she swept a lock of hair behind her ear, her eyes swept around the room. When she saw the glass doors leading out to the lounge leading out to the pool, she suddenly remembered something. "Oh yeah,"she said, quickly returning her gaze back to him."Our hot tub finally came in." Her lips were now encased in another smile. She loved to soak in the hot tub and just relax. Besides, it'd also be a comforting escape from the still-chilly atmosphere.
Aurora couldn't help but smile when he smiled his trademark grin. It made her glad to see it. It meant he was enjoying himself. Or just trying to impress someone, but there was nothing for him to impress here. All she needed was him to be able to enjoy himself with her. Of course, she would've liked something else but she wasn't going to let that seep in once more. Especially not since he was here now. Aurora positioned at angle so she could look at him and plus it'd be more comfortable for her. " I know. Nothing much really, just a few tests in classes that I hate and composition was fairly easy."she said chuckling softly. She had never been good at science and math, but she had to take those in order to graduate. The artistic side of school had always come easier to her. "Other than that, I went and had coffee with Adam and hung out with Scout.....and nothing else." she said, a soft laugh escaping her lips. "How about you?"she asked, genuinely interested. It was an unusual thing for them not to actually talk in person for more than a day or two. She texted and called him when she could, but it was still odd. She was a social person and she almost couldn't survive without checking up on her friends. Well she could, but she didn't like to. Most of the time she was talking to someone in at least some way. As she waited for his reply, she took another drink and made herself more comfortable.
