Read these before doing ANYTHING else on the site. Rules © Streamy.
yes, everyone hates the rules, and i know they're a lot. but they have to be here, to keep the site running well.
UN
[xx] No. chat. speak. Please! It's extremely annoying. The only place where you can use chatspeak, or l33t, is in the chatbox or in the OOC chat. If we find you using it in roleplaying or anything like that, you will get a warning.
DEUX
[xx] I don't care how many characters you have, aS LONG AS YOU KEEP THEM ALL ACTIVE. And also, please please please, if you can, try to balance out males and females. I understand if you only play one gender because it's easier, but if you do both, try to keep it balanced. Like if we have thirty girls and fifteen boys, use your common sense and make a guy character. For now, please start with only one canon.
NOTE: we prefer it if you make canons for now, but originals are fine. Especially if you already have a canon character.
TROIS
[xx] Please, please, PLEASE have a signature and avatar for your character. Signatures must be no wider than 450 pixels. Doesn't matter about length as long as it doesn't eat the page. Please have an icon/avatar--it doesn't have to be a picture of your characters, though that's what we prefer. It just makes the site look neat. And PLEASE, only one character per account. It keeps everything organized. Thanks.
QUATRE
[xx] Please change your profile name to your character's name. You may have things like '`` john alexander smith' as long as the character's name is in your profile name, ALL IN LOWERCASE and with the middle name too. You may put any personal text or anything in your signature that you want, but please don't put any thing profane!
CINQ
[xx] When you are in roleplaying mode, you will need to be a little semi-literate. by semi-literate, you should try to develop a good post by a paragraph or two, average six to eight sentences a paragraph. There isn't a certain amount of words you have to have, which on most sites there are. Here we just ask you to do your best. but to keep track; you can use the Word application's word count on any computer for that. And we know everyone has those no-muse days, but please do your best to post something long. No one-liners, please. We also accept advanced roleplayers, of course! Just, if you can only post a couple lines every time, this is not the place for you. Also, if you are here just to play OOC games and chat with others, please leave now. This is a ROLEPLAYING site. Not a chatting...place.
SIX
[xx]Drugs, sex and stuff are allowed here, but the site is rated PG-13! If you go into anything mature, please put a [M] or [R] in the thread. I advise you don't join if you're under twelve or thirteen...unless you're really mature. THERE WILL BE YOUNGER MEMBERS THOUGH, SO ALWAYS PUT A WARNING IN THE THREAD TITLE. Kissing is allowed in regular threads; more than that put in a [W], and for full-fledged sex it's [R] or [M]. If we find you breaking the rules by having a steamy sex thread with no warning in the title, your thread will be edited or deleted and you will get a warning.
SEPT
[xx] What's not allowed. we do NOT allow power playing AT ALL. you make your character for YOU, as do other people. do not try and play their characters. also, no one's character is perfect. so do not go trying to make your character a mary sue /gary stu. They will not be tolerated on the site, and they make everything boring. This means saying your character is the most beautiful person or everyone loved him because he was hot, no no, you will have to fix your application big time with that. It will NOT be accepted. in the correct spot on the application, put in 'strawberries are good'. Also, no god-modding. Like 'suddenly Amber grew giant wings and flew away from the humans who were humiliating her'. People don't fly (yet), as far as I know. Inform me if I'm incorrect. Also, please roleplay your character, if they're a canon, according to the description in the canon list. Obviously you add personality and stuff, but if it says this person is going out with this person, don't pretend they've never met.
HUIT
[xx] You CANNOT post in any of the roleplaying boards until your character has been accepted and MOVED to the accepted applications board. You may post in OOC and introduce yourself, play games, etc. NO ROLEPLAYING OR POSTING CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT STUFF. If we catch you breaking this rule, you will be warned and eventually banned. You can only post in OOC boards. No claims either!
NEUF
[xx] Please roleplay in third person. it's not obligatory, but we prefer it and it's much easier to understand. Make it obvious when your character is speaking; put it in bold or in quotation marks, or both! The password for the rule is 'strawberries are good'. When they're thinking, put it in italics! Also, please post in size one. It makes the site look neater. And I'd prefer it if you blockquoted your posts, though that's not necessary. I just think it's prettier. :]
DIX
[xx]The extra stuff, but it's just as important as the rest. Please respect all staff members AND other members AND guests, too. We can ban you if you don't! No flaming or spamming (the latter can be done in the chat board if you're a member), and most importantly, be ACTIVE! Earlier I told you the password is 'strawberries are good', but it's actually 'sunset horizon'. No need to be on every day, even though that would be great, but it's best to try to get on at least three or four times a week! Everyday is fine of course, but not necessary. I usually get on every day unless the teachers have been cruel. The staff reserves the right to change the rules ANYTIME, so check every month or so. Also check announcements. Make sure to look at the menu when you get on--makes everything easier as most announcements are posted there. Read all other threads in this board and the announcements board! Lastly, HAVE FUN! That's what this site is for!
