oops. except...aaron hates psychology.
hates it. his parents forced him
to take it, and he's good and all,
but he mostly doesn't like it at
all because he was forced to do it.

Aaron - Hmm, maybe Riley finds out Aaron doesn't like psychology and the rivalry starts because Ri doesn't believe he's taking it seriously, since he himself is very serious about it. Then, because of Aaron's competitive nature they would just go on off that.
Or, since Aaron and Hixen are close they could be like, the amazing threesome trio of friends. XD |

I hate making these decisions. =P Well if you want even more drama you could just add Pheonix into the equation. Leon is extremely protective of that girl and if anything bad happens or if Pheonix is afraid of Riley, my charrie would have good reason to sort of dislike the guy. That could always be what sets off a mutual dislike or annoyance.
I still like the idea though that they are purely party friends/fake friends though. I wonder how they'd maintain it though...

Hmmm, I can't think of a way to maintain their fake friendship though if that were the route we decided to take.
Because if Riley doesn't like someone it's really hard for him to act like he does. XD
Maybe they just hate each other because Pheonix doesn't like Riley and he doesn't like her.
So Leon feels like he has to protect Pheonix from Riley?
Then Riley obviously wouldn't like the fact that Leon felt the need to intrude all the time or something so he could easily be annoyed with him and dislike him based off that.

omgg since adam and riley are close, but so are adam and aaron, maybe like riley and aaron are enemies and all but adam, since he's so sweet, is trying to get them to be friends...and slowly they warm up to each other? idk...

That would work perfectly!
Like, maybe they ran into each other and begin their whole rival thing.
And then, Hixen being sweet and hoping they will get along 'introduces them', but they already dislike each other at that point.
Then he tries to get them to like each other and like you said they could slowly warm up to each other. : D
