hmm. maybe him and dawson could be something of the likes of rivals?
like you suggested, they are of the same department. i could see adam being somewhat
of a threat to dawson, in the guitar department and such. anything along those lines...

She could like stalk Adam and he knows she does but she doesn't know he knows she stalks him and maybe they could be friends or just an acquittance.

Well, how about jamie admired him from a distance the first year and the second year they accidentally met at starbucks when jamie spilled some coffee on him by accident. So she spent the rest of the day apoligizing and they learned a little bit about eahc other.
